This program is designed to quickly provide students with the skills and knowledge to function as a working Emergency Medical Technician and to facilitate the passing of the National Registry Exam. This program is intended for those who want to achieve employment as a firefighter, emergency care technician, ambulance attendant, ER tech and more, and will be beneficial for those who are planning to obtain a higher level of medical training such as LVN/RN, PA, and/or paramedic.

This accelerated course is intensive, and is recommended for individuals who have one or a combination of the following:

 

  • The focus and logistical capability to devote a considerable amount of time to this course
  • Considerable personal organization and study skills
  • Some background in emergency medical service and/or human physiology

AHA BLS HeartCode (Skills Only)

This course is AHA accredited and you will receive the same course completion card after completing your skills as you would from taking a traditional instructor-led class.  BLS HeartCode® Part 1 is NOT included in the $45 purchase of a skills session. There are 3 parts to BLS Online HeartCode: 
1. Part 1 at your home or office: Online modules, simulation and written test completion

HeartCode® BLS uses the latest eSimulation technology to enable students to assess and treat patients in virtual healthcare settings. Students who successfully complete the BLS Course online (including achieving a score of 84% or higher on the course exam) and the hands-on session will receive a BLS Provider course completion card (eCard), valid for two years.

AHA BLS Provider

Course Cost: $62

This course is designed to provide a wide variety of healthcare professionals the ability to recognize several life-threatening emergencies, provide CPR, use an AED, and relieve choking in a safe, timely and effective manner.  Infant, child and adult guidelines are included.  The AHA no longer offers Renewal or Update classes.  All healthcare providers must take the full training every two years.

This course is the required CPR/AED training for ANYONE in the healthcare field.  (Ex. EMTs, nurses, dental assistants, doctors & more all need this course)

NOTE: You are required to have the current  2020 AHA manual with you in class. You may either obtain it on your own or purchase it through HealthPro.

AHA BLS Renewal

Course Cost: $58

The AHA has added a BLS Renewal Course option for BLS providers to complete BLS training and receive a BLS Provider course completion card. The BLS Renewal Course is a video-based, instructor-led course that features accelerated content. It is designed specifically for providers with a current (not-expired) BLS Provider course completion card and allows for time efficiency while teaching both single-rescuer and team basic life support skills in both in-facility and prehospital settings.

AHA ACLS Provider

Course Cost: $195

This 10-12 hour course is an advanced, instructor-led classroom course that highlights the importance of team dynamics and communication, systems of care and immediate post-cardiac-arrest care. It also covers airway management and related pharmacology. In this course, skills are taught in group sessions with small, group learning and skills testing stations where case-based scenarios are presented. EMS and Nursing CEUs are available, processing fee applies.  If you wish to renew your BLS at the same time as your ACLS: go back to course registration and click on ACLS/BLS Course.

AHA Heartsaver CPR / AED & First Aid

Course Cost: $95 - Materials Included

CPR/AED
This  course is designed for anyone wishing to learn CPR/AED for adult, child and infant. It is the certification required for many professionals to include, but is not limited to: teachers, personal trainers, child care workers, foster parents, coaches, and construction and lay-workers. Certification is good for two years.

First Aid
Included in the course is an interactive video covering: First aid basics- Medical emergencies, Injury emergencies, and Environmental emergencies. First Aid instruction includes: bandaging, bleeding, wounds, choking, shock, seizure, fainting, broken bones, sprains, burns, bites, stings, poison, and temperature-related conditions, to name a few.

NOTE: You are required to have the current AHA manual with you in class. The cost of the class INCLUDES your book!  There is no option to purchase a course without a book.

EMT Challenge

Eligibility:
In order to participate in the challenge course examination, a person must meet one of the following requirements:
(1) The person is currently licensed in the United States as a Physician, RN, PA, or LVN/LPN.
(2) The person provides documented evidence of having successfully completed an emergency medical service training program of the Armed Forces within the preceding two (2) years.
(3) Upon review of documentation, the EMT certifying entity may also allow an individual to challenge if the individual was active in the last two (2) years in a prehospital emergency medical classification of the Armed Services, which does not have formal recertification requirements.

Testing and Examination:
An eligible person shall be permitted to take the EMT course challenge examination only one (1) time.  Successful completion of the EMT course challenge examination will allow the successful student to receive a Course Completion Certificate and allow them to apply for recertification as an EMT in the State of California.  An individual who fails to achieve a passing score on the EMT course challenge examination shall successfully complete an EMT course to receive an EMT course completion record.

Pediatric First Aid & CPR/AED for Childcare Providers

This is the American Heart Association's Pediatric First Aid CPR/AED certification course!  Our course meets your first aid and CPR requirement as a childcare/daycare provider.  At HealthPro, you will walk away with more than your certification card - you will walk away feeling confident in your ability to quickly identify and respond to an emergency.

PHTLS Hybrid

Course Fee: $260.00

PHTLS Hybrid is a two part course:  an 8 hour online portion and an 8 hour in-class skills portion.  Save time away from your work and gain knowledge of state-of-the-art, evidence-based PHTLS trauma treatment and guidelines, proven to reduce morbidity and mortality.

16 contact hours and a provider card are provided upon successful completion of the course.

PHTLS Online offers flexibility to EMS students and includes:

REMSA Expanded Scope Accreditation

EMTs who are seeking employment as an EMT in Riverside County must successfully complete an REMSA approved EMT Expanded Scope Accreditation course based on the REMSA Administrative Policy 1203.

AHA Basic First Aid Only
BART Basic Arrthymia Recognition and Treatment

BART (Basic Arrhythmia Recognition and Treatment) is a 16 hour Instructor-led Course that combines classroom education with skills practice. This course is recommended for RN's, LVN's, EMT's, Medics and Dental Surgical Technicians.  

The workshop includes determination of multiple ECG strips.
