PROGRAM DESCRIPTION:  This program is designed to give the student the skills and knowledge to function as a working Emergency Medical Technician and to facilitate the passing of the National Registry Exam. The program is intended for those who want to achieve employment as a firefighter, emergency care technician, ambulance attendant, ER tech and more. This course is AHA accredited and you will receive the same course completion card after completing your skills as you would from taking a traditional instructor-led class.  BLS HeartCode® Part 1 is included in the $80 purchase of an online +  skills session. There are 3 parts to BLS Online HeartCode: 
1. Part 1 at your home or office: Online modules, simulation and written test completion

2. Parts 2 & 3 will be completed in our education center, skills practice and skills testing. We guarantee a relaxed, friendly learning environment.

HeartCode® BLS uses the latest eSimulation technology to enable students to assess and treat patients in virtual healthcare settings. Utilizing a variety of eLearning assets such as dramatizations, eSimulations, animations, self-directed learning, and interactive activities, this course teaches BLS knowledge and skills.  This method of learning provides training consistency, adaptability to different learning styles, and flexibility for the student’s and employer’s time. Students can work at their own pace applying their knowledge to real-time decision making and skills development. Blended training also supports the need for hands-on learning of psychomotor skills. Debriefings and coaching are provided immediately after each simulation.

Students who successfully complete the BLS Course online (including achieving a score of 84% or higher on the course exam) and the hands-on session will receive a BLS Provider course completion card (eCard), valid for two years.

This course is designed to provide a wide variety of healthcare professionals the ability to recognize several life-threatening emergencies, provide CPR, use an AED, and relieve choking in a safe, timely and effective manner.  Infant, child and adult guidelines are included.  The AHA no longer offers Renewal or Update classes.  All healthcare providers must take the full training every two years.

This course is the required CPR/AED training for ANYONE in the healthcare field.  (Ex. EMTs, nurses, dental assistants, doctors & more all need this course)

This 10-12 hour course is an advanced, instructor-led classroom course that highlights the importance of team dynamics and communication, systems of care and immediate post-cardiac-arrest care. It also covers airway management and related pharmacology. In this course, skills are taught in group sessions with small, group learning and skills testing stations where case-based scenarios are presented. CPR/AED
This course is designed for anyone wishing to learn CPR/AED for adult, child and infant. It is the certification required for many non-medical professionals to include, but not limited to: teachers, personal trainers, child care workers, foster parents, coaches, and construction and lay-workers. HealthPro offers an approved California EMT skills competency verification. This verification shall be valid for a maximum of two (2) years for the purpose of applying for recertification. The skills requiring verification of are as follows:

This refresher course meets the required hours to recertify your EMT license through the State of California. The course is designed to provide THREE 8 HOUR DAYS, 24 hours of continuing education units and skills testing. In order to receive your course completion certificate, you must attend all hours posted.  You must also successfully pass the final exam, and all skills tested.

After successful completion, you will be awarded a Certificate of Completion for the course, as well as a completed California EMT Skills Competency Verification Form and the appropriate skills verification for the NREMT.

Additional hours on any of the above-mentioned required topics will be covered based on student performance.  Optional topics such as: Emergency Driving, HAZMAT, Ambulance Operations, Incident Command System may be included depending on the needs of the class.

Eligibility:
In order to participate in the challenge course examination, a person must meet one of the following requirements:
(1) The person is currently licensed in the United States as a Physician, RN, PA, or LVN/LPN.
(2) The person provides documented evidence of having successfully completed an emergency medical service training program of the Armed Forces within the preceding two (2) years.
(3) Upon review of documentation, the EMT certifying entity may also allow an individual to challenge if the individual was active in the last two (2) years in a prehospital emergency medical classification of the Armed Services, which does not have formal recertification requirements.

Testing and Examination:
An eligible person shall be permitted to take the EMT course challenge examination only one (1) time.  Successful completion of the EMT course challenge examination will allow the successful student to receive a Course Completion Certificate and allow them to apply for recertification as an EMT in the State of California.  An individual who fails to achieve a passing score on the EMT course challenge examination shall successfully complete an EMT course to receive an EMT course completion record.

PHTLS Hybrid is a two part course:  an 8 hour online portion and an 8 hour in-class skills portion.  Save time away from your work and gain knowledge of state-of-the-art, evidence-based PHTLS trauma treatment and guidelines, proven to reduce morbidity and mortality.

16 contact hours and a provider card are provided upon successful completion of the course.

PHTLS Online offers flexibility to EMS students and includes:

 IMPORTANT NOTICE:  Although anyone is able to take the PHTLS Hybrid course 10th Edition, HealthPro does not recommend that you take this course if you are an inexperienced provider.  The online portion has been proven to be difficult for basic EMTs and other providers with little pre-hospital experience.  If you choose to take this course, you alone are responsible for completing and passing the online portion prior to attending the skills portion of the course.  If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact us.
